The Health and Sanitation Programme
The Health and Sanitation Program by our Foundation focuses on improving access to healthcare and promoting hygiene practices in rural communities. The initiative includes health camps, hygiene kit distributions, and education on key practices like handwashing, safe drinking water, and waste management. In the past year, the program reached over 5,000 beneficiaries, many of whom had never seen a doctor before, offering free medical check-ups, dental care, and eye screenings. The foundation also works to build sanitation facilities in schools and community centers, ensuring their proper use and maintenance. In Karattupatti, the installation of 20 household toilets and sanitation workshops led to a 60% reduction in waterborne diseases over two years.
